Ceremony

 

We can accommodate a brunch and/or an evening wedding. We strongly recommend that prospective brides and their families make an appointment to visit the Fairview to appreciate the beauty and luxuriousness of the Inn and its grounds.

Fees for weddings vary dependent upon the number of guests. The fees cover the facility rental, set-up and breakdown, rental of chairs, audio equipment, and linens..

Any floral arrangements, décor, wedding coordinator, officiator, and music are the responsibility of the bride’s family.



Receptions

 

Once you decide on the Fairview Inn for your Mississippi reception site in the Jackson, MS area, the following will help you in planning your special day.

Weddings

 

We have both inside and outside locations for up to 250 people. We have an outdoor deck & gazebo available for outside weddings and a beautiful sunroom available for indoor weddings. On saturdays, we can accommodate an afternoon and/or evening wedding. We strongly recommend that prospective brides and their families visit the inn to appreciate the beauty and luxuriousness of the inn and its grounds. Fees for weddings vary dependent upon the number of guests ranging from a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $2,500. The fees cover the facility, set up, breakdown and rental of chairs. There is a $150 parking fee which includes the baptist 1600 parking lot and a security guard that will help guide your guests. Any audio requirements. Florals, décor, wedding coordinator & officiator are the responsibility of the bride’s family. 

 


Receptions

 

We can accommodate up to 800 people for receptions and up to 200 for seated dinners. Fees for receptions vary depending on the number of guests ranging from a minimum of $1,000 to a maximum of $2,500. There is a minimum of 250 guests or $8,000 for Saturday evening weddings and receptions during peak wedding months. Speak with the catering events coordinator for more details.

Menus and all other arrangements should be planned in advance. Please contact the catering events coordinator for an appointment at your convenience.

Food charges are on a per person basis, and price is determined based upon the selections you make from our menus.Food & beverage prices are subject to 9% tax and 20% service charge. All food preparation is done on-site by our chefs. Outside caterers are not permitted. All buffet foods left over will remain the property of the inn for health safety.

The Fairview has a wonderful cake designer/decorator equipped to make cakes upon your specifications. Should you choose to select a cake from an outside vendor, a 50 cent per person cake cutting fee will apply. Please speak with events coordinator to set up a time for a cake testing.

Alcoholic beverage selections are available. The alcohol beverage permit requires that such beverages may only be consumed on the designated property and that no beverages may be brought onto the designated property. Cooperation of the hosts is requested to insure that guests respect this legal requirement. Underage drinking is neither permitted nor tolerated. Beverages are sold on a per drink basis. A tally and final bill for beverages is prepared at the completion of the event and final payment is then due in full.

A non-refundable deposit of the total facility fee is required to “hold” the space on the date requested for the event. This deposit is applied against the total bill. A proposal as to estimate final costs may be established once the client has selected the menu advised the 3 expected number of guests and decided on beverage service. A periodic payment plan may be agreed upon leading up to the final payment due date.

A final guarantee as to the expected number of attendees is due two mondays days prior to the event. Full payment is then due in advance for food, miscellaneous charges, taxes & service charge. Beverages are paid for at the completion of the event. A credit card is required as deposit for beverage service.

Ample off-street parking is available in the 1600 baptist building parking lot adjacent to the inn for a fee of $150. Security officers will be on duty to assist. For reasons of photography and the convenience of all guests, no vehicles should be parked in the driveway except for the car or limousine in which the bride and groom expect to depart.

Fairview Inn is a non-smoking facility. Ashtrays are provided on the open decks and terraces.

At the time of departure, tossing of the bride’s bouquet and garter take place on the front portico. Rice, birdseed and large sparklers are dangerous. Instead, flower petals, bubbles or some other alternative should be provided to your guests.

It is the bride’s responsibility to make arrangements for a wedding coordinator (for ceremony), entertainment and/or floral decorations. We can assist in making recommendations as to available vendors.

The beginning and ending time of the reception should be agreed upon in advance. Rental of the facilities is for a 3 hour time period for receptions. Food & beverage service will cease upon the departure of the bride & groom.

It is recommended that all items to be used at the reception be dropped off 48 hours in advance, i.E. Napkins, cake knife, champagne glasses, guest book, etc.

Honeymoon Package

 

Fairview Inn offers Mississippi honeymoon travel packages with plenty of extra touches. Whether or not you choose the Inn to celebrate your wedding and reception; plan to stay at Jackson’s most romantic location for your wedding night.

Conveniently located just 15 minutes from Jackson International Airport, you can stay the night in luxury and then be quickly on the way the next morning to enjoy your honeymoon vacation. Guests departing prior to breakfast service may request a boxed breakfast upon making their reservation.

The Hayloft Suite, The Spanish Suite, and The Roman Suite are all popular with honeymoon couples; however, any of the rooms or suites may be selected based upon availability.

Overnight luxury suite accommodations, a full southern breakfast for two, a dozen red roses, a bottle of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and aromatherapy bath salts, all taxes and gratuities $399 (Suite):
