The Belhaven Garden Club, Friends of Laurel Street Park, and a committee of the Greater Belhaven Neighborhood Foundation are hosting the annual Art for the Park tomorrow, March 31, 2011 at the Fairview Inn from 6pm-9pm. This fundraiser is the principal means of generating the funds necessary to maintain and improve Laurel Street Park. The Laurel Street Park is a vital centerpiece to the historic Belhaven Neighborhood and is enjoyed by families from around the area.
All proceeds from Art for the Park in 2011 will be used to “Focus on the Front.” The focus on the front entrance to the park is much needed and overdue. Improvements will consist of making the entrance handicap accessible, installing sidewalks and latch gates and removing any visual barriers to the street. More info: http://www.greaterbelhaven.com/
